Forms
Add your own fields, create new kinds of records, collect website submissions and send forms to people by email.
Forms let you shape the information your workspace keeps, without any code. Add fields to records you already have, create a new kind of record such as Suppliers, take submissions from your website, or send a form to someone by email and track their answer.
Build a form
Create a form, add fields and put it on a website page.
Review submissions
Send requests, follow their status and read the responses.
Handle a case
Forms for cases show up as tabs on every case.
Three kinds of form
Every form has a Form type, chosen when you create it:
| Form type | What it does |
|---|---|
| Standard | Adds your own fields to a built-in record, such as Cases or Users. |
| Custom | Creates a new kind of record, with its own list in the sidebar. It can also take submissions from your website. |
| Request | Is sent to named people by email; each person fills it in through a private link. |
Once published, a Standard form's fields appear on the records it extends, and a Custom form's records get their own list in the sidebar group you choose. Request forms live in the Requests tab of the sidebar: Requests lists everything you've sent and Responses holds the answers, one list per form.
Get started
Open Settings → Forms → Forms to see every form of your workspace.
Select Create new, pick a Form type and add your fields.
Publish the form. Until you do, nothing changes for your team or your website visitors, and you can keep saving drafts while you work on it.
You need the Forms permission to create and change forms. Workspace admins have it; see Roles and permissions.
